How do you get 5,000+ extras to behave while filming a re-enactment of a Bible miralce in 98 degree heat with 98 percent humidity? Easy – just put Jesus speaking in front of them, a few Roman soldiers on horses, and promise to feed them real loaves and fishes! Plays in Days team members were part of the amazingly cooperative extras cast. The Chosen crew was so helpful (especially the water carriers!)  and it was a wonderful experience for us. Normally, The Chosen is a streaming TV production, so, little did we expect that our team members would be making a “big screen debut” as extras in The Chosen. The producers have opted to show Season 3, Episodes 7 & 8  as one event in movie theaters across America and many English speaking countries the first weekend in February. as the director and creator Dallas Jenkins said, “Theaters have demanded it; Fans are demanding it;  And the scope of the story demands it.” If you’re not already watching this beautifully written, filmed, and acted series, it’s free on Roku’s Angel Studios app as well as many other other places. When Jenkins announced the big screen event on The Chosen’s live stream, fans grabbed tickets so quickly that it crashed the ticketing website.
