Frequently Asked Questions
Will “Add to cart” function the same as on other sites, even though the products are digital?
Yes. You can add or remove products from your cart and view your total at any time.
All products on this website are digital and available for download. Files may include PDF, MP3, JPG, or Word documents.
After completing your purchase, you can access your files in two ways:
- Click the “Return to Merchant” button at the bottom of the PayPal confirmation screen to return to Plays in Days and download your files immediately.
- Check your email receipt, which will include download links for all purchased files.
For larger production bundles, we recommend creating a dedicated folder on your computer or external storage device, such as a USB drive or external hard drive, before downloading your files. This can help keep everything organized.
You can return to your email at any time to download your files again, and there is no download limit.
Do I get hard copies of the scripts and documents I order?
No, we do not provide hard copies. This allows us to offer our products at more reasonable prices.
All products are digital files and available for download.
With your purchase, you have permission to print paper copies of scripts, templates, ebooks, and other documents. You may also share audio files or store them on your devices and storage drives as needed.
Full copying, sharing, and printing guidelines are outlined in your Customer Agreement, which you will review and agree to prior to checkout.
What should I do if I have problems downloading the digital items/files I have purchased?
File types used on this site are simple—PDF, JPG, MP3, and Word documents—and should be easy to download.
If you have any questions not covered in these FAQs, you can use the “Contact Us” button on the home page to reach out.
Note: While we take care to ensure accuracy, errors can happen. If any items in your Helpful Production Bundle do not match the included checklist for that specific play or musical, please contact us promptly so we can provide the correct files and update the site as needed.
The pricing seems less expensive than I was expecting and cheaper than other sites. Why?
We’re glad you noticed.
We want as many directors as possible to enjoy the fulfillment of a successful and fun production without it becoming too expensive.
Because all of our products are digital, we do not have warehouse costs, which allows us to keep our pricing lower.
We understand that many of you may want to print paper copies, create CDs, or purchase USB drives for audio files. There are also additional production costs such as scenery and costumes. These expenses can add up, so we aim to keep the cost of the original digital product affordable to help you stay within budget.
How long will it take to get my script or Helpful Production Bundle?
Only as long as it takes you to download the digital files. In other words, not long.
Nothing like instant gratification.
Wow – What’s with the ton of items in some of the Helpful Production Bundles? Will I really need all of them?
The Helpful Production Bundles include resources we used, or wished we had, during our own productions of these plays.
Our goal is to make producing these plays easier for you while saving time, stress, and cost.
Some sites separate materials into “a la carte” items, which can quickly add up when trying to assemble everything needed for a complete production.
We’ve taken a different approach by packaging everything together. This allows your production to run smoothly at a lower overall cost when you purchase a Helpful Production Bundle.
After downloading your files, you can use what you need and leave the rest. This flexibility helps you get the most value from your purchase.

We will get back to you as soon as possible. Plays in Days email is checked daily, Monday through Friday.
Are there any returns or refunds?
Since there are no hard copies, once a product has been downloaded there is nothing to return. If you experience any issues with your files, please contact us so we can assist. We want this to work for you and need to be aware of any problems.
We recommend the following steps to help you decide if a play is right for your group:
- Review the synopsis and cast requirements for each play.
- Take advantage of the Sneak Previews available on both the Script pages and Helpful Production Bundle pages to see and hear the style and quality.
- If you would like a closer look, you can order a Perusal e-Script for only $5.00.
Once you have selected a play that fits your group and available talent, you can purchase the Helpful Production Bundle to access everything needed to support your production.
How do I know how many actors, what type, and what vocal ranges are needed for each play, skit, or musical?
Use the drop-down filter in the right sidebar to sort by cast size if you know how many actors you have available. You can also click on a script to view cast suggestions in the product description.
All vocal ranges for our musicals are designed to suit typical voices found in schools, churches, and community theater settings.
There is also the option of “doubling,” where actors playing smaller roles take on multiple parts using changes in appearance and vocal expression.
What about licensing or permission to perform any cover songs suggested within the musicals?
Most theaters, schools, and performance venues that regularly feature music typically have a blanket performance or house license. After purchasing a play from us, it is your responsibility to confirm that your venue has the appropriate coverage.
We will not be monitoring this.
With your purchase, any original music tracks written or recorded by us do not require additional licensing. By agreeing to the Customer Agreement at the time of purchase, you are granted permission to use our original music in your production.
I am a play writer / song writer too. Is there an opportunity for me to submit my plays/songs to you for possible consignment?
We enjoy fostering talent and collaborating.
