One of our Plays in Days Team members, Shannon – find her at BeCentered on Etsy – is really clever with fabrics. We took an old straw hat from a thrift store and created several different hats out of it using several different pieces of cloth we had laying around, two scarves, and even a washcloth. We were going for a 1st Century man’s hat. Some rustic, some not. We used costume ideas from The Chosen TV show for inspiration and decided to see what we could come up with on our own, since many of our Plays in Days skits and plays are faith-based, we’re always up for learning more about making authentic Bible Era costumes. We had fun. Next week we will post the video of HOW she did it! She’s amazing.
